It is necessary to retrieve ourselves from the constant chaos of life because one must rest to be invigorated to face challenges and move forward. In the same manner, an artist must contemplate to create. It is this notion that contemporary artist Henry Asencio strives to communicate in his latest work, "Quiescence".

Like all of Asencio's masterful works, we are but spectators, voyeurs, if you will, into a private world of sensual reverie. Profound in his visual language, Asencio's female nudes are painted energy. "Quiescence" is a composition of classical stylization as his muse reclines spanning the entire length of the canvas.
