horizons. But a swarm of people sailing into uncertainty against the
crimson sky background is also a bright metaphor of the dramatic
nature of our life. You guess right - the name of the painting is a
paraphrase of the great novel "Gone with the Wind"
in which not only people are gone forever but the entire civilization
of the Old South. But we nonetheless believe that the diaspora of
courageous aeronauts will fall on the rich soil and germinate giving
rise to the new civilizations. |
